Jenny Johnson

Jenny Johnson-Sardella is a partner in HTFL’s Miami, Florida office, where she manages the Firm’s Intellectual Property and Commercial Real Estate practice groups. Ms. Johnson-Sardella also practices in the Commercial Litigation, and Securities Litigation/Arbitration.

As part of the firm’s litigation team, Ms. Johnson-Sardella represents public/private companies and brokers in matters involving both investigations and proceedings brought by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”), self-regulatory organizations, including the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”) and private litigants. She has successfully prosecuted and defended several commercial litigations at both the state and federal court level, including matters involving international parties and foreign nations. She has also handled several FINRA arbitrations and counseled our Chinese corporate clients on matters concerning SEC investigations.

Ms. Johnson-Sardella works with the Firm’s Business Immigration practice assisting international investors—seeking lawful permanent residence in the United States through the EB-5 Program—to bring mandamus actions in federal court against the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”), which asks the Court to compel USCIS to make a decision on the immigrant plaintiff’s application or petition. She also assists Italian investors with filing nonimmigrant petitions, including petitions for E-2 Treaty Investors and is a member of the Italy America Chamber of Commerce (South East).

In addition, Ms. Johnson-Sardella represents our corporate clients in their general business matters as well as matters involving the protection of their intellectual property assets. Ms. Johnson-Sardella has drafted and negotiated intellectual property licensing agreements and registered several trademarks with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (“USPTO”) for our domestic corporate clients.

She has also counseled our international corporate clients in matters concerning U.S. Trademark infringement and has handled infringement matters before the USPTO Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and U.S. District Courts.

Prior to joining Hunter Taubman Fischer & Li, Ms. Johnson-Sardella practiced real estate law, including commercial lease negotiation and review, at a major regional firm in Miami, Florida. She also served as a criminal prosecutor in New York, where she conducted numerous hearings and trials.
